abstract = "According to the National Highway System (SNV), used as a base for
the 2016 Survey, the Brazilian paved road network comprises
211,468 km in length, as opposed to 1,351,979 km of unpaved roads
(CNT, 2016), indicating That more than 80% of roads are unpaved.
In this sense, the objective of this work was to collect data on
the extension of unpaved roads and their problems, in the
municipality of Terez{\'o}polis de Goi{\'a}s, using
geotechnologies. After the definition of the study area, the
construction of the georeferenced database that supported the GIS
was carried out and in the field, the unpaved road was tracked
during the month of November 2016. The road network was covered
and scripted through a receiver GNSS navigation and road
evaluation and verification of defects found follow the
methodology proposed by Oda (1995). After the field phase, the map
of the roads covered and the defects listed was crossed with
pedology and slope data to define sample units. The
representativeness of the defects and the functional relevance of
the unpaved roads evidences the need for research in the area and
a promising solution to solve problems related to unpaved roads
and the characteristics observed in the inspection carried out. In
general, the roads Need to reconfigure the platform, perform
adequate surface drainage works and increase the roughness of the
bed in stretches of greater slope.",
